Elena Hight isn't little Red Riding Hood. Still, her grandmother, Martha Hight, has fallen prey to the Big Bad Wolf. Determined to support her granddaughter as Hight competes at the Winter Olympics, Grandma turned to the web for tickets and fell prey to the big teeth of the Olympic ticket scam.
Hight is competing in the Winter Olympics on the snowboarding team and her grandmother is determined to be there to support her. She turned first to CoSport, but they had no tickets available to her. They have no tickets available because their ticket baskets are destined for the highest bidder and that doesn't include sweet little grandmas.
Jim Moriarty of James R Moriarty PC has taken legal action to force a brighter spotlight on the distribution of Olympic tickets. He has uncovered that Olympic ticket sales are just a trip over the hill and through the woods if you are rich and powerful. Obtaining tickets for events is difficult, if not impossible, for most of the athletes' families.
The US, Canadian and Australian ticket markets are monopolized by Jetset and Co-Sport both owned by Sead Dizdarvic. Dizdarvic was one of the major players in the Salt Lake City Olympic scandal, yet he managed to escape unscathed. Co-Sport /Jetset make millions on luxury packages that include things like limo services and private jets.
Grandma Hight was traumatized to learn she had no tickets and sad at the thought that her granddaughter may be performing in the Olympics without her family there to support her. Grandma has declared she will clean houses to earn money for tickets.
This story doesn't end with a "they lived happily ever after." It ends with a grandma scrubbing floors to earn money to replace what was stolen from her.
