James R. Moriarty
Licensed in Texas and Colorado
National-level mass torts are James Moriarty’s specialty. For over 20 years, Moriarty has helped tens of thousands of clients win cases against formidable companies and businesses. In one notable example against Shell, he represented owners of nearly 17,000 homes damaged by polybutylene plumbing systems, recovering more than a billion dollars for clients and others across the U.S. Moriarty has also helped clients take on Tenet Healthcare, Prudential Securities, Marriott and many others.
A former Marine who served three tours in Vietnam, Moriarty holds two Air Medals awarded for heroic achievement. He served for 5 years as a special assistant to Bill White, the former Mayor of Houston and advises the mock trial team at the University of Colorado. An avid athlete, Moriarty competes in marathons and triathlons, including the 70.3 Ironman. His love for athletics and helping others includes sponsoring several Olympic hopefuls and a professional women’s cycling team.
P. Kevin Leyendecker

Trusted by clients in both plaintiff and defendant roles, Kevin Leyendecker has succeeded in legal disputes against daunting adversaries. He joined James Moriarty in 1992, and has brought persuasive expertise and dedication. Leyendecker has tried cases to jury verdict in both state and federal courts and has successfully litigated against some of the largest companies in the U.S.
Leyendecker earned both his bachelor’s and law degree from the University of Texas. He enjoys coaching his three kids in various youth athletics, playing golf, and spending time with his family and friends at his ranch in South Texas.
Hilary S. Greene
Licensed in Texas
Hilary Greene graduated from Tulane University in 2001 with a degree in finance and business management. She taught school prior to attending and graduating summa cum laude in 2005 from South Texas College of Law. While at South Texas, Ms. Greene was an active member of the school’s nationally recognized Moot Court team and a member of the Law Review. She also interned for the Honorable David Hittner of the Southern District of Texas. Ms. Greene interned at Moriarty Leyendecker while in law school, and has been with the firm since becoming licensed as an attorney.
Andrew T. Green
Licensed in Texas
Andrew Green was born and raised in the small town of Conroe, Texas. After earning his bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame, Andrew worked in the non-profit field for a number of years. He obtained his law degree from Fordham University School of Law, where he was a member of the Fordham International Law Journal. Andrew has worked and traveled throughout Latin America, and is a fluent Spanish speaker.
Andrew enjoys travel, spending time with his family and friends, and is an avid outdoorsman.
